Newly released video has shown the moment a prisoner has made a dramatic apparent escape attempt while standing before a judge in an Adelaide court.
In the CCTV, the man can be seen behind a clear partition when he stands as a court officer enters the dock.
The prisoner can then be seen climbing up onto a table, swatting his hands at the officer and another who comes forward to help try and detain him.

The prisoner stumbles before stepping over the partition and landing on his knees on a nearby table in the open area of the court.
A third security officer steps forward and grabs the prisoner from the table, throwing him to the floor in an effort to get hold of him.
The other two officers come to help, one gripping the prisoner from behind, while the other rushes to open a door to take the prisoner back into custody.
